Terms and conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the Worldwide Alumni Celebration website (the Site).

Terms and Conditions

Your use of this website and the products and services offered and supplied via this website (referred to collectively as the “Services” in this document), is subject to the following legal terms and conditions, which are effective and binding between you and London Business School (LBS). Use of the Worldwide Alumni Celebration website includes accessing, browsing, booking an event or making a gift.

Collectively, this legal agreement is referred to below as the “Terms”.

By using the Site, you confirm that you accept the Terms and that you agree to comply with them.

If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms, you should not continue to use or access the Site or use any other of the Services. You may contact LBS at wac@london.edu to find out about other ways to book an event or visit www.london.edu/donate to find out about other ways to make a gift. LBS recommends that you print a copy of these terms and conditions, or save them to your computer, for future reference.

The Site is provided by LBS’s third party service provider, Coherence, on behalf of LBS and these terms and conditions operate between you and LBS only.

LBS’s registered address is London Business School, Regents Park, London, NW1 4SA. LBS is an exempt charity and its HMRC exempt charity reference number is RC721.

London Business School shall not be liable for your interactions with any organisations, volunteers, donors or individuals found on or through the Services.

The Services are available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old. You represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract. LBS reserves the right to: (a) refuse the Services to anyone at any time without notice and for any reason; and (b) change its eligibility criteria at any time without notice and for any reason.

Booking conditions

Bookings for London, Sao Paolo, New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Shanghai events will be made via third party event management software provider etouches (https://www.etouches.com/event-software/). By clicking on ‘book now’ and entering your details into the booking form, you agree to etouches terms.

Bookings for all other events will be made via the localised event site and your details will be shared with the LBS volunteer organiser for the WAC event that you are booking. The LBS volunteer will protect your data, using it only for its intended purpose and as per the data protection agreement that he or she has with the School.

Your purchase is subject to checks such as verification that you are an alumnus/a of LBS.
We reserve the right to cancel any order(s) that we reasonably suspect to have been made fraudulently or otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions.

Making a donation

All funds are collected via Blackbaud (https://www.blackbaud.com/). Blackbaud is a payment service which processes credit card, debit card and other types of card payments from Donors. Neither LBS, Coherence or eTouches is responsible for the performance or fairness of Blackbaud. Please contact wac@london.edu if you have any questions or issues arising from making a donation via the Site.

Gift Aid

LBS may include a Gift Aid option and any such option will be subject to the additional legal terms covering this.

The fact that LBS provides links to certain third party websites does not in any way constitute endorsement of or association with such websites by LBS.

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits LBS’s liability for death or personal injury arising from LBS’s negligence, or its fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

You agree not to use the Site for any commercial or business purposes and London Business School has no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
